App won't load or keeps crashing
Try these steps in order:
- Force-close the app and reopen it
- Restart your device
- Delete and reinstall the app from the App Store (your progress is saved)
- Make sure your device has the latest iOS/Android update installed
- If the issue persists, email us with your device model and iOS version
Lost my progress / data disappeared
Progress is saved locally on your device. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, progress may have reset. We're working on cloud save for a future update. If you believe data was lost unexpectedly, email us and we'll investigate.
๐ Premium purchase issues
If you purchased premium but it's not showing as unlocked:
- Go to My Pals screen โ tap "Already purchased? Restore here"
- Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
- If the restore button doesn't work, email support@kindredpal.com with your Apple ID receipt and we'll resolve it manually
Requesting a refund
Refunds are processed by Apple, not by us directly. To request a refund:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Find the Pal Feelings purchase and select "Request a Refund"
- Apple typically processes refunds within 48 hours

๐ Privacy Policy
Pal Feelings is designed from the ground up to be safe for children. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from any user โ child or adult.
1. Who We Are

2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data of any kind
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
- Camera, microphone, or contacts data
- Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)
- Any information from children under 13
3. Data Stored On Your Device
Pal Feelings saves the following data locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:
- Game progress (scores, XP, level reached)
- Selected pal and unlocked pals
- Daily streak and session count
- Emotion practice counts (for the Emotion Journal)
- Premium purchase status (verified locally)
This data is deleted when you delete the app.
4. No Ads
The premium version of Pal Feelings contains zero advertisements. The free version does not contain any third-party advertising SDKs. We do not use any ad networks and no advertising data is collected.
5. No Third-Party Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any other analytics service. We have no visibility into how you use the app.
6. In-App Purchases
Premium purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made but receive no payment details, card numbers, or billing information. Apple's privacy policy governs the payment process.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Pal Feelings is designed for children aged 4โ12 and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from any user, this compliance is built into the product by design.
8. No Account Required
Pal Feelings requires no account creation, no login, and no email address. The app works entirely without any user registration.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this policy and display the new effective date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice.

11. App Store Privacy Labels
In accordance with Apple's App Privacy requirements, Pal Feelings is labeled: Data Not Collected. We selected "No" to every data type on Apple's privacy questionnaire because we genuinely collect nothing.
